Gazan Casualties Mount Amid Escalating Israeli Attacks

The recent Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip have left a trail of destruction and death in their wake. Three people were killed, and a hospital supply warehouse was hit in the latest attacks, which are part of a disturbing pattern of escalating violence that has been unfolding for months.

Gaza has been under siege since 2007, with Israel imposing severe restrictions on movement and access to resources. The impact of this blockade has been devastating, with chronic shortages of food, water, and medicine taking a heavy toll on the population.

The investigation into enforced disappearances of Palestinians in Gaza, led by the Palestinian Centre for Missing and Forcibly Disappeared Persons, sheds light on a dark truth. Between 2,500 and 3,000 people may have been subjected to forced disappearance during Israel’s war, with the majority being male and 95% under the age of 60.

This is not just a matter of statistics; it’s a human tragedy that demands action from the international community. We must recognize the fundamental rights of Palestinians in Gaza to self-determination and access to basic necessities like food, water, and healthcare.
