Burning Skies and Waging War Russia's military has intensified its aerial campaign against Ukrainian targets, with recent strikes on railway stations, ports, and warehouses sparking concerns about the economic cost of Moscow's war effort.
The Russian Ministry of Defence claims that its forces targeted a railway station in Izmail, a key port facility on the Danube River, because it was allegedly being used to transport military cargo and fuel.
However, this accusation echoes Russia's own actions: repeatedly targeting Ukrainian ports and refineries, which has contributed to domestic fuel shortages and disrupted supply chains.
