Myanmar Air Strike Kills 14 Monks in Buddhist Lent Gathering

On August 21st, however, a brutal reality unfolded at a monastery in Sagaing region, Myanmar, where an air strike by the military killed 14 civilians – mostly elderly men and women – who had gathered for Buddhist Lent.

The attack was intentionally targeted, according to rebel witnesses, leaving little doubt about the military's intentions.
